SACRE I & II
-
"SACRE" stands as a collaborative endeavor between Aktionstheater PAN.OPTIKUM and the University of Music Freiburg, exemplifying the dynamic fusion of art, dance, and music. This captivating interdisciplinary dance performance is divided into two distinct but interconnected parts, both of which delve into the profound themes of ritual and sacrifice. At its heart, "SACRE" poses an intriguing and reflective query: What sacrifices are we willing to make, and how many sacrifices do we make unknowingly in our daily lives?
-
The first part of the "SACRE" dance performance artfully blends the compositions of Freiburg's own Tobias Schwab with the evocative writings of Berlin author Viktoria Hohmann. These elements combine seamlessly with the captivating video art crafted by Jennifer Rohrbacher, creating a multidimensional sensory experience that challenges the boundaries of artistic expression and audience engagement.
-
n the second part of "SACRE," the spotlight shifts to dance, with a captivating performance that centers around Igor Stravinsky's iconic masterpiece, "Le Sacre du printemps." Accompanying the choreography is the enchanting orchestration provided by the talented musicians of the Freiburg University of Music, under the masterful direction of Scott Sandmeier. This segment is a celebration of dance, music, and the profound emotional resonance of Stravinsky's work.
