The visuals encapsulate the coexistence of contemporary and natural elements, celebrating the harmony between the two.
As we delve into the visual storytelling of this project, we acknowledge and extend our gratitude to the supporters who have contributed to its realization. The narrative unfolds as a journey through time, where historical roots meld with the present, forging a new "history" and tradition. The cyclical nature of this process remains perpetual and inexhaustible, a testament to the enduring spirit of "Banga" and its cultural legacy.
💡 "..that shapes us and forms the raw materials, the raw materials that come from nature and, in accordance with humans, transform. For the visual solutions of this story, we have chosen a change of locations, symbolizing development and the passage of time. At the same time, we honor the interaction between contemporary and natural elements. As our historical roots transform within us, we plant and create a new 'history' and tradition. Like this cycle itself, it is ceaseless and inexhaustible." 💡

The short film "Step" is a collage of feelings on the theme of isolation and loneliness, created by author Jānis Putniņš and playwright Luke Welch, in collaboration with RISEBA Media School. The short film, as a set of episodes, is created as a meditative, sensory experience, during which the characters of the film encounter the experience of existential questions inherent in contemporary reality. By looking at the paradox within which the winning of what could be described as the age of communication and technology, in which "connecting" through media space as an indisputable part of everyday life and a co-existing situation in the context of the mental crisis, disconnection and alienation created by Covid-19, it creates a gap in people's personal relationships with themselves and with others. The question of inclusion in society and in the world in which we live is becoming a pressing issue for both adults and young people. Some people tackle the problem by stepping forward, others try to move forward despite powerlessness, others struggle and give up in the face of adversity. The short film describes the atmosphere and the feeling that we experience within the contemporary reality, where we often fail and do not find our way back to find the human connection with ourselves, the forced change of identity, or the new search for the self that arises because of what we have experienced. We turn for help, we look for support, but we come to the conclusion that the only real and unrestricted contact comes from returning to ourselves.

The concept behind "Imprint" delves into the intricate interplay between the imprints we absorb from our surroundings and how we, in turn, leave our mark on the world. This thought-provoking exploration revolves around the idea that our experiences, interactions, and the influences we encounter become imprinted upon us, shaping our perspectives, actions, and the way we engage with the world.
The performance artfully illustrates how these imprints can either operate at a subconscious level, guiding our responses and behaviors without conscious thought, or, conversely, result from deliberate choices we make as we navigate life's intricate pathways. In essence, "Imprint" captures the dynamic between passive reception and active transformation of these imprints
